These shots culled from the Ford Times June 1946. Thanks Doug.

The Bug is more well known in a later, more stripped down form.

Three Carbs? Get outta here!

Eddlebrock? Obviously Vic wasn't a household name in '46.

These pics from Mike Key's book '1932 Ford street Rods'. Pics are credited to either Frank Oddo or Pat Ganahl.
I've seen some of them in Street Rodder.

Veda Orr.

Karl Orr's speed shop.

From Car Speed and Style, 1961.

One of the best lookin Deuces of all time. Lincoln powered.
Barris built, took 41 first place trophys in 45 show appearances. Not bad eh?

These three from Car Speed and Style december 1960.

Purposeful looking 34 coupe. Owned by Don Stamp. Features blown Olds power. Nicely presented, check the taped race number, the cars in the background, the haircuts. This is the early 60's.

Just spotted that swiss cheesed frame rail, Blimey!

Purty as a picher! This car took the Competition Coupe award at Darryl Starbird's Wichita Autorama! top that!
Good for 120mph in the quarter.

This 32 from Hop Up, July 1953.

Channelled 32 coupe. Very tidy. Car is described as a competition car. 5.00-16 front tyres give that skinny look .
Tube shox added to stock axle. Has reversed eye spring, I think.

Same car, Seven inch Channel job brings that rear fenderwell right down level with the top of the tyre. Top whacked 3 inches. effective rubber rake given by the 7.00-16's on the back and the 5.00's on the front.
Car was built by Howard Leever and Fred Esser of the San Francisco Hill Toppers car club.

Nice illustration of a track T by Gus Maanum circa 1946.
