The photographic shoot came to an abrupt end when the
park brake failed on the poorly maintained Cuban Buick.

This chopped '39 Olds belongs to Mark Hassler. Pics taken by ace Brit photographer Mike Key.
Pics sent in by Koops. The car is up for grabs. If interested e-mail me and I'll pass it on.

These from Mike Buettner:
Here's my looooong term project. Started collecting Topolino bodies
in 1989. It's all steel and stock dimensions but with a one piece
tilt front. She sits on a round tube chassis and cage with Aldan coil
overs in the rear and struts up front. Ford 9 inch, four link,
Wilwood disks and Wilwood rack and pinion. Set up for a small block
Ford but as of now I just have a junk block and heads with new SVT
EFI manifold bolted to the motor plates and a new T5 tranny just to
make sure it fits. It's pro built and has cost me a pretty big bucket
of money. I'm running out of steam and thinking of selling. Can you
believe it? Kinda wish I had done a nostalgia rod. Bringing it home
tomorrow. Lots of custom fabricating still needed and I just don't
have the talent or shop to do it. But who knows... the relationship
has lasted 10 years so far. HAH!
Dont give up Mike, get that thing home. it's amazing what you can achieve once you try. I'm sure the Rodders round table would give all the help and encouragement needed.  Mart.

Peter Bennet sent me a nice long note telling me how his many projects are coming on. This car belongs to his pal, Mike Smith, who has pieced it together from that pile of early Ford bits featured on Pete's scrapbook page.
Yet another car in which the roof appears to be raised. Can't understand why people do that. Bit Hey!, thats just me!

Here's a nice one from Lance Nicoll.
Hi thought you might like to see my 35 Ford. This was taken at Easter 2000 at our regional nationals in Brisbane Australia. I have owned the car for 20 years now, it's brush painted in red primer and runs a 39 Merc motor, with 3 on the tree ( column shift) 48 Ford. Hope you like it. Regards.......Lance Nicoll.

Gary Kutcher posted these pics of his 31 roadster pickup. Car features a Brookville body.
Front end features real suspension.

Fred Baum sent this pair of snaps of his under-construction 34 coupe, with a detailed description to accompany them.
Mart, you bet I'll be glad to give you some info on my car, after all, I wouldn't be a real hot rodder if I didn't like to talk about my wheels. The body is a 'glas unit from Minotti, while the frame is from Palm Coast Rod and Custom. The engine is a ZZ4 Chevy with a 750 Holley and Sanderson headers. Trans is a Saginaw 4 speed with a Hurst shifter. The rear end is a 9" Ford with 3.24 gears and is hung on All American coil over shocks and located by a trianglated 4 bar. Front end is a Magnum tube axle, also with a 4 bar set up and a Posies spring. A Valley griile covers a Walker radiator with Rootlieb supplying the 3 piece hood. Inside, I have a Tea's bench seat, Vdo gauges, steel Ididit column with a tach mount added. A racy flat Pete & Jakes steering wheel and Vintage heat and air pretty much sums up the interior. Right now,the chassis is done with the power train installed and all the plumbing done, and it's all painted and waiting for the body. The body work is completed and now it's time for primer, a lot of blocking out, then deep black paint. I hope to have the car on the road this fall. I just gotta drive this thing, I can't wait much longer!
Lookin good, Fred.

Glen sent these pics of his newly acquired Booik from sunny Phoenix. He fired the old straight 8  motor up just the other day, and has the brakes to sort next. He'd better sort them out soon, cos I'm going over soon for a ride in the old girl.
---
Stop Press! latest word from Glen is that the Buick is going to be rebuilt into a dependable long distance cruiser. An engine, axle and subframe swap are planned.
Here's the pic showing the latest state of play.

Had these shots from Gomez. this fine lookin 32 3W is taking shape in the land of Oz.
I am building a 32 3 window coupe I thought you might like to include in your web site. Its glass and I imported all the bits from the USA. It is running a 350 chevie with a 671 blower with 1:1 pulleys, turbo 400 box and a 9" diff. Corvette discs on the front and tank drums on the back. 14" 650 on the front and 285. 70 x15 on the rear. I have been at it for about 3 years now on the weekends and we are up to the wiring. The rear tyres were too wide so the rear and the front fenders have been widened about 1.5". It has an electric boot opener, electric windows, remote locking and air conditioning to name a few of the trick bits. i hope you can find room for it on your site
regards
Gomez
I think you've gotta do a bit on the door latches, yet, Mate.
Lookin good, Gomez, you get that wiring in and suddenly it'll come alive.
Don't forget to send an update pic as things progress.

Gomez sent these shots through also. Guess they were taken at a local Aussie show.
