Here's a picture of my 8 year project. Brookville body, 1938 21 stud, Thickston, pair of 94's, Mallory electronic, 6,000 miles in 2 years and only had 1 sparkplug go bad. V8Paul
21studs, eh? Common over here, unusual for a Murrican.
Seems odd to see a back panel without any lights set into it. Martin Anderson sent me a pic of his 23T.
Martin is heavily involved with the Swedish Street Rod Association. Thanks for the pic, Martin. Received this snap from Carveth Morris.
Here is a picture of my 41 Chevrolet conv. shown stock here, but is in the process of being transformed into a street rod. if you are interested I will send pictures as it is completed. Motor is a 1996 Corvette LT-I W/a700R4 trans. A GM 12Bolt posti traction narrowed rear end w/mosier axle's. Body will be customized The car had 33000 mi. on it when I got it. It only took me 21 years to get this car. I have been told Its 1 of 8 left. but it had a lot of rust so I wanted something to drive at interstate speeds and to handle like a new one. Dont forget the update shots, Carveth. Mart. Bill Groner sent me some shots of his pal's cars:
This is Joe's car. It is a '32 Ford sedan with a 468 cu. in. Chevy. It has a 2" chop, 2" inch wider rear fenders four speed auto trans and 4:56 gears in a 9" ford rear. Car runs 10.98 @ 123 mph. Joe has had this car for about 12 years now. The sedan has a strip of checkers on the interior door panels as well as the dash rail.
This is Ken Kool's '36 Ford Chicken Coupe. It has a 440 Mopar, '57 Olds rearend with 4:56 gears, runs on pump gas. Runs 10:90 in the quarter @ 122 mph. Six point roll bar, single four barrel and a solid lifter cam. Nostalgia front to rear. A sixties style GASSER.
Thanks, Bill. Note the similar times for the two cars? I am lead to understand there's more than a little "friendly" rivalry between the two. Mike Bohn sent this shot of his '51 Booik Roadmaster.
Mikes running the straight 8 (for now, he says), Car has stock body, just lowered a tad. Cool, Mike. ---oooOOOooo--- Thanks to all the contributers for the pics on this page...Mart. |
