Received these great shots from Alex (Axle) of the Shifters.
I thought i'd send you some pictures of my cars from orange county, California. I hope you like them!

The roadster is a world war two era 29 on deuce rails that I built. It has a 49 flatty motor and 49 ford trans, 1935/36 GM headlights, an original deuce grill, 1938 packard dash, 40 ford wheel, Evans 2 pot intake with two 97's, headers, and a cam. It rolls on 16" 40 ford wheels with 41 ford hub caps. I found an original  50 year old set of  7.60 16's for the back and a set of 6.50 16's for the front. They were still wrapped when I found them.

My 34 is an original 50's california hot rod. It's a five window that was made in to a three window. The reveal body
line that originally surrounded the quarter windows was removed and brought forward to go around the door...just like a three window. The roof was also filled. All this, of course was done in lead. The motor is a 54 olds 324 c.i semi built with 56 heads, edelbrock intake with three 97's, tranny is a 54 olds 4 speed hydro, and the rear end is a 51 olds.
It has a 40 ford dash, 40 ford steering wheel, and a sectioned 32 grill.

The deuce five window is my fastest car. It has a 450 horse power 400 cubic inch pontiac, three rochester carbs, 11.1 compression, 505 lift cam, balanced, forged pistons, polished heads. 4 speed muncie trans, 1957 ford 9" rear with 4.11
posi. Its chopped 41/2 "
Take it easy, Axle
You carry on like that, Axle, and I'll start getting jealous..Mart.

Cosmo answered my request for vintage pics with his T Bucket from the mid 80's. Flies in shell-less rad show this to be a driver.

In fact all Cos's cars are drivers, he can't see any point if they're not.
Heres his Sedan, just back in running order after a major renovation with late model running gear.

Not bad for a cheapie was it?

This super shot sent in by Dr J.

This is a fine custom Merc. that belongs to a great guy, Larry "The mayor of Lynwood"  (not really, everyone
just calls him that) Larry drives this Mercury all over and has driven it to several states. He built it with the
usual help and kibitzing of his friends, and it's beautiful. It has leather seats for a comfortable ride too.
Thanks john, Nice one.

Got these from Mark Morris all the way from Australia. Aint the internet wonderful?
This is his 49 Chev custom. It features a 283 with a turbo 350 trans, and sits on a Holden Ute chassis.

That hardtop is removable, the trunk is hand made.

This 3 window runs a 289 Ford motor and a C4 tranny. Has twin carbs on a tunnel ram.
Marks had it on the road for 10 years now.

Fred sent a fresh shot of his '49.

Not exactly sure where Fred is based, but It looks quite far north to me.

Mike Lowden got in touch from Canada.
Hi Mart! heres a pic of my 47  'vert.
h
Ok, the car is dark navy blue with a Mercedes blue Hartz cloth top, bone white leather interior, v butted windshield, frenched headlights and taillights, '46 Ford side chrome, Fatman Ultra low M 11 front end, Filled chrome bumpers
(I moved the front one back about an inch)  Power top, windows, steering brakes, seats, The 454 is bored .030, has a cam, headers alum. intake,  Holley carb, with an early Olds air cleaner. It's got air, heat and defrost (Canadian car EH!) I used a 400 TH with a Lokar shifter, and a 31 spline 9" with a 3.55"1 traction lock rear end. I did most of the work myself at home but I'm no body man, so I had help there from Tim Price (paint) Mike Gelner (body) and Jim Baillie (who's getting more and more famous daily, with the chop.) Rob Gaudette did the interior and top and he does the best tops I've ever seen! It's a driver - my wife and I are heading for sunny
Florida soon and plan to attend as many runs as possible on the way there and back to the frozen north.

This is my eighth hotrod,  and the first comfortable one - hey! we all get old eh!
Thats funny, I'm building them more uncomfortable as I get older...Mart
