Pete's Page.
Peter Bennet sent a nice set of shots of various cars. here they are, with his own captions.
Got some cool pics you'd like to share?  mail me.

I got stumped for a caption and was kindly helped out with the following submissions;
Him: "Well, actually, Darling, yes, I really do love the car more than you.
or
Him: "I've been waiting ages to get my mitts on this baby"
or
Her: "Any chance you will actually take me for a drive in this thing some day?"

The 5 window in it's initial mock up after 10 years of storage
and parts hunting to accumulate what you see.  It was subsequently taken
apart and put back into storage.  Although now, it is the focus of much
attention and currently resting on the sportster chassis.

Roadster and 5 window before reclamation began.  The roadster
was taken apart, everything needed to be replaced including motor.

His Master's Rod.

Our head mechanic tunes by ear, perfect pitch you know. Pictured
here tuning my 39 Merc in my ol' 2 door, brush paint job and all.  The 2
door now has a new home.  The 39 Merc is in the roadster.

The fellow taking the IQ test is my pal Howard, he also tunes by
ear, notice he got some  good ones. The model A coupe has a flathead Ford 6
in it.  The roadster was visiting at Howard's due to a calved water pump.

Our new mechanic in training with the boss at the wheel, the day
the roadster was brought home. It had been in storage for 20 years as you
see it.  The previous owner died, we purchased it from the widow.

The roadster in it's current trim.  It was originally built in
Maine in 1951, only differences, color of body and interior and front tire
size.  The reclamation consisted in part of, dusting off the bird droppings
and spraying it with 6 cans of "body shop in a can".  A little faster than
the brush but no where near as cunning. Merc motor from the 2 door all
early stuff in and on the motor.  46-52 Chris Craft boat windshield as per
original.

40 Ford dash with "The Hook's" pin stripping on the glove box.
39 trans zepher gears the rest is obvious.

I think Pete sent these pics just to make me jealous. There's better stuff in the sweepings pile than in my garage!. Mart.
See what you can spot.

Pete bagged this UUUUUgly sportster (You cant see the front) just for it's 32 frame and Flatty running gear, methinks.

Here's his deuce in it's latest stage of mocking up, sitting on The sportster chassis.

oooOOOooo
Nice one, Pete, An entertaining set of pics...Mart.
